The Artist
Batul Adamjee is a self-taught Islamic artist from Vancouver, BC. What began as a single painting for her family home during the pandemic has grown into a body of work that's been exhibited, commissioned, and collected across the community.
Every piece is created entirely freehand. No stencils, no tracing, no shortcuts. Rooted in her faith and inspired by the landscapes of British Columbia, her calligraphy is spontaneous by nature. She never plans a piece. She lets the brush decide.
Batul takes custom commissions and hosts workshops across the Lower Mainland. If you've ever wanted a piece that carries both meaning and beauty on your wall, this is it.
